Johnny Crispell
We were deeply shocked and grieved at the
news of the death of Johnny Crispell. He was
a boy who loved life and lived life as only
little boys can-a boy who exemplified and
manifested the classic spirit and energy of his
age daily. It is bitter irony that one so full of
life should die so young.
His family's request that friends make
contributions to endowment for a room on
the Lawn in his memory instead of sending
flowers is certainly appropriate, for he was a
common sight on and about the Lawn and the
Grounds nearby; he has been well-known and
well-liked by Lawn residents for several years.
We join the rest of the University
community in extending our deepest
sympathy to Dr. and Mrs. Crispell. We know
that their grief is immense, their loss
immeasurable. Our thoughts are with them
today and in the coming months.
