Letter from Charles N. Tenney to Adelaide E. Case
Camp Dennison, Ohio. Charlie alludes to Addie's brother, Hallie's recent promotion to
lieutenant status and expresses his own "secret" desire to achieve higher status as well. The
Ninth and the artillery division have shipped off to Virginia, and he expects his division
(7th) will follow in the next week or two. He would like Addie to come and visit his camp with
the "ladies of Warren" via train before they change location. He asks Addie if they can
exchange ambrotypes (photographs).
