An orientation session for the new Members of the Board of Visitors was held, in Open Session, in the Lower West Oval Room of the Rotunda on Thursday, April 15, 2004, from 10:40 to 11:50 a.m. The new Members participating were G. Slaughter Fitz-Hugh, Jr., W. Heywood Fralin, Ms. Glynn D. Key and James W. Head, the Student Member-elect.
The session was conducted by Gordon F. Rainey, Jr., Rector, President John T. Casteen, III, Leonard W. Sandridge, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Paul J. Forch, General Counsel, and Alexander G. Gilliam, Jr., Secretary to the Board.
Don R. Pippin, Member of the Board from Wise County, participated.
