As a supporter of the admission
of student reporters to faculty
meetings it is with particular
concern that I comment on the
meeting of the College faculty on
April 28 as reported in The Cavalier
Daily. I do not hold the views
attributed to me in your article, nor
did I voice them.
In fact due to another commitment,
admittedly one of questionable
importance, I did not even
attend the faculty meeting. The
nature of faculty debates and the
pressures of time of course make
the job of your reporter a difficult
one, but this does not excuse the
improper identification of those
who speak.
