The people sponsoring this call themselves the Committee For Sane Nuclear Policy (SANE.) They are a group of prominent scientists, professors, doctors and the like, all united in opposition to this program. G. Warren Nutter, former Economics teacher at the University and now Assistant Secretary of Defense, came out on this issue in a Dallas speech on Tuesday. He said that if Russia continues its buildup, the U.S. will be "in critical jeopardy."
