Sir—In honour of your intrepid conduct,
displayed at the fire in — lane, on Tuesday
evening last, and in respect for your talents and
character, we have the high gratification, as a committee
in behalf of the fire companies of our city,
to invite you to a public dinner, to be given at
the City Hotel, at such a time as your health will
permit: of which please apprize us. Permit us
to hope that your rapid restoration will give us
the honour of meeting you at the social board
very soon.
