The poetical works of John and Charles Wesley | ||
369.
[The promise to myself I take]
I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
—i. 5.
The promise to myself I take,
Me, me Thou never wilt forsake
Who on Thy Son depend:
Thy faith is plighted to my Lord,
And safe I hang upon the word
Of mine eternal Friend.
