[Lord, I Thy truth proclaim]

He shall thrust out the enemy, &c. —xxxiii. 27.

Lord, I Thy truth proclaim,
And all-sufficient grace,
Kept by the virtue of Thy name
To perfect holiness:

116

Till Thou Thyself reveal,
I on the promise feed,
Thou wilt the enemy expel,
And slay the cursed seed:
The enemy within
He shall not long annoy,
Thou surely wilt extirpate sin,
And utterly destroy.
Thou wilt my soul defend,
Fulfil Thine own design,
My unbelief and troubles end,
And make me all Divine.
