[Dost Thou not, Lord, with pity see]

The Lord shall repent Himself, &c. —xxxii. 36.

Dost Thou not, Lord, with pity see
My helplessness and misery,
Dost Thou not hear Thy servant groan,
And know, that all my power is gone?
Returning now in tenderest love,
Thy judgments with their cause remove,
Take my oppressive sin away,
And give me back an heart to pray.
