103. Womens Titles of Honour.

Let an Earl take to wife, a Countrey Girl;
She is a Countess; because He, an Earl.
But let a Countess marry meanly; She,
Adds not one Atom, of Gentilitie.
So Phœbus gilds, the Lady of the night;
But scorns to vapour, in a Borrow'd Light.
