Þis Auctor seiþ verreyment
Þat in þi ȝouþe þou schalt do þin entent
To wiþ-drawe þe fro sinnes euer-mo,
And goode werkes vse and do.

Þe lattor þou art of good worching
Þe more feruol þou schalt be of bi-ginnyng;
ffor þorw bi-ginnyng vertu encresceþ,
And þorw latschipe hit is wiþ-drawe & ceseþ.
