Romero Quartet Performs
In U. Hall Monday Night

On Monday evening, the
University Artists Series will
sponsor a program by a quartet of
Spanish guitarists known as The
Romeros. The performance will be
in the University Hall and will begin
at 8:30.

Since their introduction to
American audiences eight seasons
ago, The Romeros have appeared
with the Esterhazy Orchestra in
New York City, the Cleveland
Orchestra, the Los Angeles
Philharmonic, and the Philadelphia
Orchestra to name a few. Television
viewers have seen them on the Ed
Sullivan Show, and the Today and
Tonight programs.

The quartet consists of
Celedonio Romero, who founded
this family guild, and his three
sons: Celin, Pepe, and Angel.
Among the numbers to be
performed by the group are
"Quartet in A Major" by Antonia
Vivaldi, "Allegro" by Nicolo
Paganini, and Two Flamenco
Improvisations.

Individual tickets for the
performance may be purchased at
the Director's Office on the fourth
floor of Newcomb Hall or at the
door. Tickets are $5.00 each.
