ASK THE C.D.

Why do the autumn colors seem
less intense this year?

- R.G.

Don't adjust your color
perception, says the National Park
Service. The trouble arises from the
drought conditions of late. Dry
weather is causing the foliage to
turn brown and drop off without
passing through its normal cycle of
brilliant hues, which has dazzled
leaf watchers along the Skyline
Drive in the past.

I'm interested in film making. Is
there a facility or organization at
the University involved in this
pursuit? - D.T.

You may be in luck. A group of
students who share your interest
are just organizing the Film
Production Union and with some
luck may be able to acquire the
necessary equipment to begin
producing flicks soon. You should
call Chris Dickey at 295-6816 for
information. (Also, see story on
page one of yesterday's edition).
