LEAVES OF ABSENCE

The following resolution was adopted:

  • RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the following faculty members be and they are hereby granted leave of absence:
  • Ms. Berniel B. Bjorklund, Assistant Professor of German, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1982, for teaching and research at Columbia University.
  • Mr. Glen L. Dunlap, Lecturer in Business Administration, for the period September 1, 1982 through May 31, 1987, one half time, in accordance with the Board of Visitors' approved half-time retirement agreement.
  • Mr. Robert P. Flood, Associate Professor of Economics, for one semester, effective September 1, 1982, to visit the Research Division of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve.
  • Mr. Gerald P. Fogarty, Associate Professor of Religious Studies, part-time, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1982, for research.
  • Mr. James N. Galloway, Associate Professor of Environmental Sciences, part-time, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1982, for research.

  • Mr. William C. Saslaw, Professor of Astronomy, for one semester, effective September 1, 1982, to do research at Cambridge University.
  • Mr. Michael R. Sexton, Assistant Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Science, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1982, for further study.
  • Mr. R. Jack Weber, Associate Professor of Behavioral Science, The Darden School, for one semester, effective September 1, 1982, to extend sabbatical leave.
