PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE 1966 BOARD MANUAL

In order to change the Board of Visitors' Manual to indicate that the Board will elect ROTC faculty as it does other faculty members, the Executive Committee met on April 3, 1971 with the full Board present, and approved the change. In accordance with Section 5.8 of the Manual, the proposed amendment was included in the regular notice of the meeting.

Upon motion, duly seconded, the following resolution was unanimously approved:

Change, on page 20, Section 4.22 subsection 6 to read as follows:

he shall appoint instructors at the first salary step and shall reappoint lecturers after an initial election by the Board;
