AUTHORIZATION TO NAME MORE THAN ONE CHAIRHOLDER TO THE CLASS
OF 1962 PROFESSORSHIP IN LAW
- The following resolution was adopted:
- WHEREAS, the members of the Law School Class of 1962, in conjunction with their 25th Reunion, assembled and presented to the Law School the largest gift ever provided by a single graduate class - approximately $450,000 - to fund the Class of 1962 Professorship in Law; and
- WHEREAS, the magnitude of this achievement, the desire of class members to continue to make contributions to this fund, and their wish that the Law School make full use of their gift at the earliest time have led the organizers and donors to conclude that the professorship can support more than one chairholder;
- NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that after May 1988, more than one chairholder may be named to the Class of 1962 Professorship in Law to the extent that endowment income and matching funds from the Eminent Scholars Program prove sufficient.
