[On us, almighty Lord, bestow]
I beseech thee, let the power of my Lord be great.
—xiv. 17.
On us, almighty Lord, bestow
The blessing which we humbly crave,
The greatness of Thy mercy show,
And magnify Thy power to save;
Take all Thy people's sin away,
Its being with its guilt remove,
And thus in our behalf display
Thy whole omnipotence of love.
