[“Stone the blasphemers vile,” they cry]

All the congregation had stoned them with stones. —xiv. 10.

Stone the blasphemers vile,” they cry,
“Who urge us the good land to win,
And tell us, we may scale the sky,
And talk of living without sin!
They say, sin never need prevail,
All sin ye may with ease subdue:
They contradict their fellows' tale,
And dare avouch that God is true.
