[Silence, ye unbelieving fears]
Caleb stilled the people, and said, Let us go up, &c.

Silence, ye unbelieving fears,
Who clamorously deny the word!
The promise on our side appears,
The power and goodness of our Lord:
Let us go up in Jesu's name:
Our sins shall all to Christ submit,
And who for us the world o'ercame,
Shall bruise the fiend beneath our feet.
