[The Babe has gone!]

[Here Peace alighted once]

[From Thy high celestial Home]

[Bethlehem, awake!]

[Sons of men, behold your King!]

[Feeding their sheep they found the Lamb of God]

[I lean upon no broken reed]

[Loving years of peace;—]

[For the coming of the Bridegroom]

[Silence! the morn is coming calmly up]

[All the past,—its joy and sadness]

[Oh, who can reckon up]

LIGHT FOR CHRISTMASTIDE.

[Hail, brightest morning of the year!]

[Sweetest of the heavenly voices]

[All, all is well]

[Sing thy new song, O Earth!]

[Peace, only peace is here]

[He came, the Child of Light]

ON THE THRESHOLD.

[Old things have passed away, behold]

[Friend of my heart]

[Again the Future has become the Past]

[Pass into the opening Year]

[Shaded or sunny shall the New Year be?]

[Peace, from the Fountainhead of peace]
