W.V.U. Editorial
Lambasts Rapier
Opinions, and comments, will
probably never cease being written
on the Rapier Flame Hoax. West
Virginia University has taken an
editorial stand which is extremely
uncomplimentary to the University
as a whole.
Their argument revolves around
the type of activities which university
students should be participating
in. "Examples of such student
actions include everything from
marathon dances and stuffing
people into phone booths to taking
over a building or a demonstration
that turns into a riot." The editorial
goes on to distinguish between the
aforementioned activities and the
unprincipled sort, of which the
"hoax" is an example.
