De Myrone & Laide Ausonii.
Epig.
Of Lais hoary Myron begg'd a Night,But she repulst him with a slight.
He soon perceiv'd the cause, and his white Head
With shining black soon overspread.
Myron the same in Face, but not in Hue,
Returns his Love-suit to renue.
But Face and Hair compared by the Dame,
Thinking him like, but not the same.
Perhaps the same Top, yet dispos'd to play;
She to the subtle Youth could say;
613
Thy Father I deny'd, but now.
