Demophoon
alone.
What arrogance is this—as if—but yet
Her rank, her sex, her youth may plead her pardon;
And sure Timanthes has but ill receiv'd her.
I must rebuke him, teach him better thoughts,
To change his coldness and assume the lover.
Go—call Timanthes to me—but he comes.
