yardage-gainers in quarterback
Gene Arnette, halfback Frank
Quayle, and fullback Jeff Anderson.
Arnette is fifth in total offense
with 934 yards. He has gained
720 passing.

Anderson and Quayle both rank
in the top five in the conference
in rushing figures. Anderson is
third with 540 yards while Quayle
is fifth with 517.

Carolina Coach Bill Dooley says
that Virginia has one of the top
offensive teams that the Tar Heels
have faced. "Quayle, in particular,
will cause us plenty of problems."
Dooley says. "He's certainly one
of the best halfback's that we have
seen or will see this football season."
