ESTABLISHMENT OF THE HUNTON AND WILLIAMS PROFESSORSHIP IN LAW

  • The following resolution was adopted:
  • RESOLVED that there is hereby established in the School of Law a Chair to be known as the Hunton and Williams Professorship in Law. This Chair for a distinguished scholar is established in memory of Thomas Benjamin Gay and Eppa Hunton, IV, and shall become effective at such time as its funding is complete. The Board is grateful to the Law School Foundation and particularly to the families of Mr. Gay and Mr. Hunton, the firm of Hunton and Williams, and the many graduates of the Law School practicing there, whose contributions made the establishment of this Chair possible.
