[Less than Thy least of mercies I]

I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, &c. —xxxii. 10.

Less than Thy least of mercies I
Myself would every moment feel,
Worthy the second death to die,
Worthy the hottest flames of hell;
I would the smallest crumbs of grace
Beneath the Master's table eat,
And till I see Thy glorious face
Lie here, self-loathing at Thy feet.
