II.
God's Butterfly drawn to the flower of our love!
It seemeth the beautiful thing,
At the first surmise of the heaven she hath left,
For the Winterless World may wing.
So we fold her about with our love as 'twere heaven,
Around her weave many a wile;
And our hearts up-leap, living fountains of joy,
In the golden dream of her smile.
It seemeth the beautiful thing,
At the first surmise of the heaven she hath left,
For the Winterless World may wing.
So we fold her about with our love as 'twere heaven,
Around her weave many a wile;
And our hearts up-leap, living fountains of joy,
In the golden dream of her smile.
