[Despicable, frail, and dying]
I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, &c.
—xviii. 27.
Despicable, frail, and dying,
Vile before my God I am,
On Thine only grace relying;
Dust and ashes is my name:
Fallen, and corrupt my nature,
Yet I dare address Thy throne,
Speaking through a Mediator,
Him who makes my prayer His own.
