Primarily the papers of Allen Caperton
Braxton, a Staunton attorney, with a very
small group of papers of the Braxton family from
Chericoke, King William County. Of particular
importance are the notes and correspondence of Allen
Caperton Braxton when he was a member of the Virginia
Constitutional Convention of 1901-2 that disfranchised the black voter.
