ODE XXIV. ENJOYMENT.
Since I'm born a mortal Man,And my Being's but a Span;
'Tis a March that I must make;
'Tis a Journey I must take:
What is past I know too well;
What is future who can tell?
Teazing Care, then set me free,
What have I to do with thee?
Ere I die, for die I must,
Ere this Body turns to Dust,
64
In sweet Revelry and Joy,
Laugh and sing, and dance and play,
With Lyæus young and gay.
