THOSE CLOUDY RIDERS

When they floated by, those cloudy riders,
Eager to go I know not where,
They thought I would join them, those cloudy riders,
And sleep in the flowers in the great tree's hair,
Sleep in the heart of the apple blossoms,
Deathless, blooming since ancient days.
Some day I may join them, those cloudy riders,
For my sweetheart sleeps in those flowers always.
