CORNER CHANGES—

A new shopping center
is now taking form on University and
Elliewood Avenues at the Corner. The future
complex will include a restaurant, a food
store, a women's ready-to-wear shop, and two
or three other stores. The plaza is to be called
Shops Under the Ash after a large ash tree
located on University Avenue. A construction
company, R.E. Lee and Sons, is building the
complex and will lease out the space to
merchants who will add to the attractions
of the Corner for the University.
