Anderson To Speak

Robert Anderson, playwright,
will speak on "Modern American
Theatre" at 8 p.m. Monday at the
Minor Hall Little Theatre. Mr.
Anderson is the author of the
Broadway Comedy, "You Know I
Can't Hear You When the Water's
Running." He also wrote the
screenplay for the movie, "The
Sand Pebbles."

Mr. Anderson was born in New
York City in 1917 and earned his
Master degree at Harvard. After he
finished school he became a drama
critic and a teacher of drama and
writing. His first Broadway play,
"Tea and Sympathy," was produced
in 1953. Mr. Anderson's
most recent play is "I never Sang
for My Father."
