Advocate Of Peace
Mr. Dellums replied to Mr.
Agnew's charges with ,"If
being an advocate of peace,
justice, and humanity toward
all human beings is radical, and
if it is radical to oppose the use
of 70 per cent of Federal
monies for war and
destruction, then I am a
radical."
Mr. Dellums has been a
congressman since 1970 when
he captured 60 per cent of the
vote in a predominately white
district. He is one of three
black congressmen in the
House of Representatives
which represent mostly white
districts.
