Worchepe we þis holy daythat all innocentis

As the angell hur towzt
To flee the londe till hit wer sowzt
te epytte she toke hure way.
Herode slow with pryde and synne
Thowsands of II zer and with ynne
The body of criste he thozst to wynne
and to destrye the cristen fay.
Now Jhesu þat dyest for vs on the rode
And cristendest innocents in hir blode
By the prayer of thy moder gode
Bring vs to blysse þat lastith ay.
