'Perpetual Hate'

Dear Sir:

For one who espouses
culture, Mr. Saunders, you
show an amazing talent for
avoiding the "understanding,
love, beauty, sorrow, and life"
which comprise it. Apparently,
you seem to have the handle
on a new type of "brotherly
love"—one which leads to
"perpetual hate." You
presuppose a double standard
for love, one for the "human
beings," and one for the
"non-people."

Being one of those
perverted fraternity Wahoos
who masturbates and generally
leads a life of depravity and
debauchery, I was amazed to
find I enjoyed Pat Bradley's
sensitive, well-written poem. I
guess I lost my head.
