The department will give a first prize of
$600, and also a second prize of $300,
depending on the number of entries.

The competition was established in 1953
with a donation of $10,000 by the late Kittyn

Lieutenant Commander Charles Mass, USNFR.

Interested applicants should consult with
Robert W. Artinian, assistant professor of
French, to discuss their plans. They may see
Mr. Artinian at 355 Cabell Hall from noon to 1
p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
