May Blitz In U.S. Tour

NEW YORK — (WARTOKE) —
May Blitz, the English group newly
signed to Paramount Records,
arrived in the United States last
week (4) to begin the first leg of
their debut tour in the United
States.

Heavy underground airplay both

on the "Fire Queen" cut from
Blitz's first English LP has caused
the group to cut short their highly
successful European tour and play
dates throughout the States to
coincide with the release here on
the Paramount label of their
English chart LP "MAY BLITZ."

The group, consisting of ex-Jeff
Beck Group drummer Tony
Newman; lead guitarist and vocalist
Jim Black; and bass guitarist Reid
Hudson, kicked off at The Eastown
Theatre (November 6

Upcoming appearances are set
for the Capitol Theatre, Portchester
(December 4-5); Goddard
Plainfield, Vermont (9); Middle
Earth, Indianapolis (11);

Palladium, Birmingham, Mich.
(18-19). Additional dates for New
York and West Coast are still to be
firmed.
