RESIGNATIONS

The following resignations were announced:

  • Mrs. Josephine D. Arnold, Acting Assistant Professor of French, effective 1 September 1969, to accept a position at Mary Baldwin College. Mrs. Arnold will continue to lecture, part-time, in the School of Education.
  • Mr. Fredson T. Bowers, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, effective 30 June 1969, to devote full time as Professor of English.
  • Mr. Herbert M. Burks, Jr., Assistant Professor of Education, effective 30 June 1969, to accept a position at Michigan State College.
  • Dr. Richard E. Clark, Assistant Professor of Materials Science and Member, Center for Advanced Studies, effective 9 April 1969, to continue in clinical aspects of thoracic-cardiovascular surgery.
  • Mr. Leonard T. Curtis, Associate Professor of Education, effective 30 June 1969, to accept a position at Georgia State University.
  • Mr. James W. England, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, effective 31 August 1969, to accept a position at Swarthmore College.
  • Mr. Arthur G. Foster, Assistant Professor of City Planning, effective 30 June 1969, for personal reasons.
