Hospitals

Within the city limits are several private hospitals,
and situated on the foot-hills of Mill Mountain is
Roanoke Hospital, which is maintained largely by
public contributions.

These institutions rank with those of a similar character
in any city of like size in the South, and every
requisite is afforded that will contribute to the speedy
recovery of the injured or afflicted.

The excellent attention given by management, attending
physicians, and well-trained nurses and
assistants, has established for these institutions the
reputation of doing everything possible for the relief
and comfort of patients.
