To Friendship.

Hail! Sacred Friendship! Life's sublimest Joy!
Which all the Rage of Fortune can't destroy:
Thou! Source of Bliss! Thou! Sorrow's kind Relief!
Above, below, for ever Thou the Chief!
Heav'n, without Thee, would comfortless appear,
And who enjoys Thee finds an Heaven here.
