'Heigh—ho
Silver, Away'

Margo Lane, Kato, Dr. Watson,
Tonto. The names are trivia, but
they were the watchwords of the
1930's and 40's—characters in the
radio dramas that entertained the
nation every night before television
came along. But now they're back,
on WTJU-FM, each week night at
12:30 A.M.

Beginning last night, student
radio station WTJU-FM began
bringing back old-time radio each
night at 12:30, thanks to the
generosity of several local
merchants.

On Monday nights, the Shadow
returns. The dramatic series which
launched the Mutual radio network
and starred Lamonte Cranston and
Margo Lane, will return to the
airwaves after a 17 year absence.

The Green Hornet and Kato
make their return on Tuesday
nights. After a short lived career in
television, the duo will ride again
on October 5.

"A fiery horse with the speed of
light, a cloud of dust, and a hearty
'heigh-ho Silver'—The Lone
Ranger," Wednesday nights will
mark the return to "those thrilling
days of yesteryear."

And on Friday nights, the
original police drama, the
Gangbusters returns. The stories,
based on actual cases, as they say,
tell a different thrilling story each
week.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr.
Watson will solve one incredible
mystery after another, as the
master sleuth takes up residence at
91.3 FM on Thursday nights,
beginning October 7.
