ELECTION OF PROFESSORS EMERITI

The following resolution was adopted:

• RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the following persons be and they are hereby elected Professor Emeritus:
• Mr. Jesse W. Beams, Francis H. Smith Professor of Physics, who retires in June 1969 and has been on the staff of the University since 1928.
• Mr. James S. Miller, Jr., Professor of Electrical Engineering, who retires in June 1969 and has been on the staff of the University since 1920.
• Mr. L. Gaston Moffatt, Professor of Romance Philology, who retires, in June 1969 and has been on the staff of the University since 1940.
