9. On Repentance.
Tis not, to Cry God mercy, or to sitAnd droope; or to confesse, that thou hast faild;
Tis, to bewaile the sinns, thou didst commit,
And not commit those sinns, thou hast bewaild:
He that bewailes, and not forsakes them too,
Confesses, rather, what he meanes to doe.
