The Black Voices sang a mixed selection of mournful and joyous melodies in a presentation by the Black Artists' Guild yesterday in the Newcomb Hall Ballroom. Accompanying the singers were students playing drums and the piano and much clapping of hands. The topics, which reminded the audience of the social fils evidenced by the Kent State killings and more recently the deaths of two black students at Southern University in Louisiana, emphasized the failure of blacks to inter-communicate.
