• Mr. Paul Barolsky as Chairman, Department of Art, for two years, effective September 1, 1988.
• Ms. Karen A. Chandler as Director, Afro-American Cultural Center, for the period September 1, 1988 through June 30, 1991
• Mr. Roger Chevalier as Chairman, Department of Astronomy, for three years, effective September 1, 1988.
• Dr. James W. Craig as Associate Dean for Student Affairs, School of Medicine, for one year, effective May 1, 1988.
• Dr. Charles L. Crockett, Jr. as Associate Dean, Roanoke Program, for one year, effective May 1, 1988.
• Ms. Sharon D. Davie as Director, Women's Studies Program, for one year, effective September 1, 1988.
