RETIREMENTS

The following retirements were announced:

• Mr. Jesse W. Beams, Francis H. Smith Professor of Physics, effective 30 June 1969. Mr. Beams has been a member of the faculty since 1928.
• Dr. Andrew D. Hart as Director, Department of Student Health, effective 30 June 1969 to devote full time as Professor of Internal Medicine. Dr. Hart has been Director of the Department since 15 September 1938.
• Mr. James S. Miller, Jr., Professor of Electrical Engineering, who retires in June 1969 and has been on the staff of the University since 1920.
• Mr. L. Gaston Moffatt, Professor of Romance Philology, who retires in June 1969 and has been on the staff of the University since 1940.
