APPOINTMENTS

In accordance with the resolution adopted by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia on July 14, 1945, the following appointment was announced:

• Captain Edmund H. Polonitza as Assistant Professor of Military Science, effective August 1970.

The following appointments were also announced:

• Mr. Brian M. Austin as Assistant Director, Counseling Center, for three academic years, effective September 1, 1970.
• Mr. Samuel H. Back as Associate Director of Placement, for three years, effective July 1, 1970.
• Mr. John W. Boring as Assistant Director, Center for Advanced Studies, for one year, effective August 1, 1970.
• Mr. Eugene F. Corrigan as Director of University Athletic Programs, effective January 1, 1971.
• Mr. Eleftherios N. Economou as a Member, Center for Advanced Studies, for two years, effective September 1, 1970.
• Mr. Carroll A. Gardner, Jr., as Special Assistant to the President, for three years, effective September 1, 1970.
• Mr. Leonard H. Goodman as Assistant Director of Placement, for three years, effective September 1, 1970.
• Miss Christine E. Marshall as Assistant Editor, University Press of Virginia, for one year, effective September 1, 1970.
