FAB. CVII. The Stag in the Ox-stall.

A Stag whom Hounds pursu'd to an Oxstall flyes,
Where straw secures him from dull heards mens eyes,
But when the Master came, he was betrayd,
And the poore weeping prize his victim made.

Our ruin oft does from those acts begin
Our fears at first contriv'd to shield us in.
