The Rival-Lords disjoyn'd, injoyned thus,
(Some lowring looks Assault less dangerous)
Candora view'd; then, poizing well the Case,
Self-flattering each; Valenson in first place,
Since first was Crown'd, might Choice proclaim more free;
Melargon pleas'd the last, held firmer be,
Best second thoughts; concluding Parts imply'd;
Th' whole former Act excus'd by her beside.
That Lord came first: nor dar'd they least gainsay
Their Regent-queen, both swore most formal way.
